The barber comes to the building

Wheelhouse sends a licensed barber to your workplace, or to a parent's care home, on a schedule you set once. Three barbers, two vans, appointments only.

Two lanes

Who the van is for

Every visit fits one of two lanes. Pick the one that sounds like you and we'll set up the rest.

  • A barber chair in a bright room with a tall window, a black cape over the seat, beside a low cabinet
    Workplaces

    For workplaces

A barber sets up in a break room or an empty office for a few hours. Staff sign up for a time, sit for a cut and are back at their desks. HR picks the day; we bring the chair, the capes and the cleanup.

    • A chair set up before the first appointment

    • A sign-up sheet or booking link for staff

    • Cuts of 15 to 45 minutes each

  • A barber chair at the end of a bright hall seen through a doorway, with a coat on a hook and a bench by the door
    Families and care homes

    For families and care homes

A licensed barber visits a parent, a grandparent or a whole floor. Facilities schedule the room and the list; a family can also book a single visit at home.

    • The same barber each visit

    • In a common room or at the bedside

    • A family contact for scheduling

Standing visits

Visits that repeat, so nobody books twice

A standing visit keeps the same day on the calendar. This is how each plan is set up; the price is agreed with your booking, not printed here.

  • Workplace day

    Every four weeks

One barber and a chair in a room you choose, for a team that wants cuts on the clock.

    • The same day and hours each visit, set with your contact
    • A sign-up sheet or booking link for staff
    • Setup, capes and floor cleanup
    • The same barber when schedules allow
    Term:
Renews every four weeks; change the schedule with 14 days' notice
    Cancellation:
Move or cancel a visit with 48 hours' notice
  • Care home visit

    Every two weeks

A barber on your floor or in your common room, cutting residents on a list the facility keeps.

    • One barber for the whole visit, the same one each time
    • Cuts in a common room or at the bedside
    • A family contact who can ask for a place on the list
    • A start time confirmed the week before
    Term:
Renews every two weeks; change the schedule with 14 days' notice
    Cancellation:
Move or cancel a visit with 48 hours' notice
  • Single visit

    As needed

One visit for a family at home, or one extra day at a facility, with no repeat schedule.

    • A barber and a chair at your address
    • Cuts for one person or a whole household
    • A time agreed when you book
    • A standing schedule, if you decide you want one
    Term:
    No repeat schedule

For facilities

What the barber needs from your building

A short list, so the first visit starts on time and the second one runs the same way.

Facility checklist

  • A room with space for a chair and for the barber to walk around it

  • A wall outlet within reach; we bring the extension cord

  • A hard floor, or one we can cover with a drop cloth

  • A sink or restroom close by for handwashing

  • A table or counter for the tools

  • A parking spot for the van near an entrance

  • A contact who meets the barber at the door

  • The day's sign-up sheet, kept by you

How a first visit works

From the first call to the next date on the calendar.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Book your visit

The barber and the van arrive 20 minutes before the first appointment, check in with your contact and set up in the room you chose.

Questions

Before you book

Can I walk in without an appointment?

No. Wheelhouse is appointments only: a visit is booked for a day and a time, and the barber comes to you.

How does a workplace booking work?

One person at your company, often in HR or facilities, gives us the day, the room and a headcount. Staff sign up for a time on a sheet or a booking link, and the barber runs the day from there.

Who books a cut for a resident?

The facility sets the visit and keeps the list. A family member can ask for a place on it, with the facility's okay, or book a visit at home instead.

Do you cut children's hair?

Yes, at homes and on family days that a workplace sets up. A parent or guardian stays in the room for the whole cut.

Can we keep the same barber?

Yes. A standing visit keeps one barber on your schedule whenever the calendar allows it.

What does a visit cost?

The price follows the service and the length of the visit, and your booking shows it before you confirm. How pricing works explains what moves it.
